Lanos is remarkable for its good steerability namely responsive steering, comparatively rigid suspension and absence of shakiness during turns, accurate and smooth gear shifting and good informative work of clutch. Vehicle suspension is enough energy absorbing and suits our worndown roads quite well. There are helical springs with reduced diameter of upper coil at the front; rear suspension springs have varied pitch and diameter of winding. This provides progressive characteristics of suspension, such as smooth drive on level road and impenetrable stiffness on pits and bumps.
More expansive models have power steering and lower gear-ratio and so vehicle responds to steering wheel turns more sharply. The possibility to open locks of hood, trunk and fuel filler door from driver’s position gives additional convenience. Full-size spare wheel is hidden under luggage compartment floor and it makes possible to use trunk volume to the maximum.
